Vacation! St. George Island_Crabbing

This year for the first time in years we decided that if we were going to pack up all three kids and all their stuff...we would make it a two week trip! It was awesome and I think we will try and do two weeks whenever we can. The weather was gorgeous and the Gulf was beautiful..not a drop of oil to be seen. We all had a great time...we had the whole family there...including the Cox's from Ohio and my mom and dad, Jessica, Mike and Matt and Jeff.
The water was crystal clear and there were tons of blue crabs..so the boys and Jeanne spent a lot of time as the crab hunters:)

Happy Birthday Will!

Will celebrated his 6th birthday this summer with a pool party! He had a great time with family and friends. The kids did not even seem to mind that it was really..really...hot! Ah...summer in Texas, always a delight. We were also very lucky to have Madisyn, Marissa, Dawn and Shawn in town for the big event. It is be coming an annual tradition that they are here to celebrate with us each year!

Jeanne the Little Ballerina

Jeanne had her first dance recital this weekend. She was very excited and it was quite a production for a 3 year old dance recital. She of course LOVED her costume. It was all we could do to keep the white costume clean at least until the recital was over. As we were getting ready to head out for the recital she asked for a snack. I asked her what she wanted and her response was cheetos of course. Needless to say we opted for fruit snacks.

Her class danced to Suzy Snowflake. They have been practicing for months. I was not sure how she would do on the big stage--- but she did great. She was very good at blowing kisses and twirling especially.

A lovely day at the Arboretum

Jillian was not digging this at all..but the flowers are so pretty!

I had the bright idea that a "fun" trip to the arboretum would be the perfect thing to do on a Sunday...so we grabbed the kids, Auntie Jess, Baby Matt and Uncle Jeff (our photographer) and headed out. As you can see, Jillian was really the only cooperative one and it was kind of a bust from the photo standpoint. But we had fun..

Happy birthday Jillian! You have never seen someone so excited to have the day be all about her! She loved every minute of her party..the cake...the presents and lots of friends.


That is a big cake for a little girl..but she did her best!

I think that she actually sat in her high chair for 30 minutes and picked the little balls of icing off of the cake. She was in heaven.

So fun! And look at my first two teeth that I got just before my first birthday!

All of my kids love pasta night....and Jillian is no exception. Will and Jeanne are a little quicker to finish...so then they come back and entertain Jillian while she eats.
