Day with the ducks!

We had a fun day visiting with Aunt Sara and baby Jackson. They took us to a pond near their house to feed the ducks! It was great. The ducks were very well fed and no one fell in the pond..which is surprising.
Let's see if I can fall in!
I need more food for the ducks...I am all out of bread...fortunately, Aunt Sara came prepared with some extra crackers in case of emergency...we went through all of the bread products available.
Will took his job very seriously...really no time for posing or picture taking.
Getting a little too close to the pond for mommy's liking....mostly because I did not want to have to go in after them.

Snow White and Spiderman...

In an effort to broaden the kids horizons as it relates to costumes..they each got a new one for Valentine's day! Will is taking a break from his role as Batman, to spend some time climbing the walls or the stairs as Spiderman. Jeanne was thrilled with her Snow White costume. Her favorite part are the high heels that come with the outfit, that she insists on running through the house in. The falls on the wood floor have yet to squash her enthusiasm for her new footwear! She runs around going "My shoes" , "Look at me"! Too funny!

Christmas 2008- A very batman christmas!

The kids had a great time this year at Christmas. Will opened all of his presents in about 10 minutes and then could not understand why there weren't anymore. It was sad really:) Jeanne just started to figure out what the chaos was all about. We had a great day with the kids and were so lucky to have Gigi, Papa, and Uncle Jeff here to celebrate with us.
Jeanne's new bike:) Of course she has already filled the basket with her stuff. We call her the bag lady, because she is always hauling lots of stuff around with her. Lammy is never far behind and fortunately she fits perfectly in the basket!
As I said..it was all batman, all the time. This is just a sampling of the batman gear that Will got for Christmas. I keep waiting for him to get tired of it, but he is still really into it. And Jeanne has jumped on the bandwagon as well.
Woo hoo! A new bike!
Watching the Polar Express on Christmas Eve...she couldn't get any closer to the screen!
The first gift of Christmas...Will and Jeanne each got to open one present on Christmas eve after mass.
Jeanne's castle...which unfortunately did not compare with Will's batcave!
Everyone needs a new toothbrush at Christmas!
"I wish that I got a batcave!"
Checking out their presents from Santa wearing their matching batman and batgirl capes that Santa left in their beds! Can you believe it?
Merry Christmas Batman!
Santa enjoyed his cookies and milk and even left the kids a note to remind them to be good the rest of the year!

The batmobile...Brian and Will both had fun with this.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jeanne!

The birthday girl!
Presents for me?

Jeanne had a great time celebrating her second birthday this year at the My Gym...so did Will. Here are some pics from the party and of her big birthday present from Gigi and Papa-- her own Bitty Baby--hopefully it will help her get ready to be a big sister. We are going to have to do a little more training before letting her hold the new baby, as she has a tendancy to just drop or throw the baby down without much warning. But Will seems to be well on his way to being a great big brother to another baby sister:)
Jeanne loved her singing birthday card from Gigi and Papa.
Jeanne is still a bit unclear on the taking care of the baby thing.

Daddy and Uncle Mike even had some fun at Jeanne's party...
Will had fun at circle time.

Make a wish!

Jeanne loved the airplane ride..
and the zip line was a hit with the older kids. Who doesn't love bubbles?
Happy Birthday Jeanne Bean!

The Pumpkin Patch

Today, Brian took the day off and we took the kids to the pumpkin patch! They both had a great time..until it was time to leave of course.
They both wanted to drive the tractor...but Will managed to maintain control while Jeanne posed for the photogs.
Will finally got the idea, that I wanted him to smile, while he was posing with the pumpkins...don't the kids know that they whole reason we go to the pumpkin patch is for the photos?
They both liked the hayride...Jeanne would have enjoyed it more if she could have stood up and hung over the side...but we can't have everything we want. We are thinking that she might make a great stunt toddler...do they have those?
I think that Will overestimated the size of that pumpkin that he was going to sit on...
Surprise! I am smiling and looking at the camera.
Oh how we love the goats! Fortunately we made it out with all of our fingers in tact...despite Jeanne's continued efforts to get them eaten off by a goat.
All that being said....a good time was had and a good, long afternoon nap was taken by all!

Getting Ready for Halloween

Trick or Treat! We took the kids to Safety town last weekend to trick or treat. They both had a great time...Jeanne was less into it then Will, but as long as we kept the candy coming, she was in.
Hey Blue Eyes!
We went to the fall festival at GiGi's school. Will did the sack race with some of GiGi's 5th graders. He also liked the having his hair painted green?!?
Bat kids! We are under heavy influence of all things superheros right now. Jeanne is even starting to get into it. Fortunately we have 2 batman masks. Today they were running around together Will in his batman costume and Jeanne in the extra cape and mask. Will came down to tell me that we did not need to call Jeanne, "Jeanne Beanie" anymore, we could just call her "batgirl"! And yes...he was dead serious.

Fall Football Fun

This fall Auntie Jessica, Uncle Michael, Uncle Jeff and Cousin Charlie have taken it upon themselves to take Will's football training to the next level.
He is getting quite good....and even told daddy the other day that he did not want to play soccer anymore...he wants to play football. I think Brian almost shed a tear....

Mastering the catch from cousin Charlie....

Maybe a wide receiver? He looks awfully graceful!

Every good football player has to be ready to take a ball in the shin???
