Merry Christmas

Both of the kids really enjoyed Christmas. Will "helped" everyone open their gifts. I don't think I had to open a single one myself. It worked out nicely this year, because Jeanne really did not care if Will opened all of her presents too. It will be interesting in a year or so when she wants to open her own presents.

It was a busy, but fun month! This was the first year that Will really got into Christmas and Santa! It was a lot of fun for all of us. He was in the Christmas play at school, called Happy Birthday Jesus! He was a great sheep! In a wonderful sheep costume that his mother made him. You can only imagine...I will have to get pics from Uncle Jeff to document my first creation.

Will was so excited to go and see Santa this year. He waited and waited. We finally took him on Christmas Eve....that was when daddy could come with us and wait in line. He brought his Christmas list with him, so he could give it to Santa. He hopped right up on Santa's lap and was not too concerned about Jeanne's obvious reservations about the stranger that we passed her off to. After he finished talking to Santa, he asked "Where are my presents." At which point we had to clarify Santa's delivery procedures. It was hilarious.

Happy Birthday Jeanne!

Jeanne celebrated her first birthday this month! She had a ladybug party and it was fun for everyone. Surprisingly, she was not a big fan of the cake...she actually liked the balloons better. She has come along way since last December!

See what we have been up to!

Things have been pretty busy around the house, but we are always getting into lots of interesting things. Jeanne is eating lots of "real food" and she might be small but she loves to eat! She and Will are really having a good time playing "together" most of the time. As long as Jeanne is willing to play with the toys that Will wants her to play with. It is pretty funny to watch them interact. Jeanne is becoming a little more assertive as she gets older though.

Will still loves to play trains and one of his new favorite toys is Mr. Potato Head. Ahhh...he must be gifted as he as found other "interesting" ways to use the Mr. Potato Head parts. It is never a dull moment! Oh yes, and we have also added another tortured Brown's fan to the family!
Jeanne loves bath time! There is not much else I can say...I think that her face says it all.

Happy Halloween! Part One

Will especially enjoyed Halloween this year. He was a pirate and loved his costume. In fact, since Halloween, there has been a daily showing of the Halloween costume. Jeanne was a ladybug and was a good sport about the costume!

We also spent the morning at Southwest with Auntie Jess! It was so much fun to trick or treat in all of the different departments. We will definitely be going back next year!

Family Fun!

We had a lot of fun exploring at Pop Pop Taylor and Nana Anne's House. They have a beautiful yard with lots of flowers and plants.

While were in Ohio, Will and Jeanne got to spend time with their Aunt and Uncle, cousins, and Nana and Pop Pop Taylor. Will really had a great time with CC and Dave! They had lots of fun playing trains and getting into trouble at restaurants....mostly Will. Will also had fun at Nana and Pop Pop's house. Pop Pop Taylor even had a really cool tractor for Will to ride on. It had been a while since we had all been to Cleveland and we had a lot of fun. Everyone was happy to see the kids.

Trip to Cleveland....Happy 20th High School Reunion Daddy!

We all made the trip to Cleveland this month for Dadd'y High School Reunion....everyone had a great time. Will and Brian got to ride on a fire truck in the homecoming parade and Will enjoyed his first high school football game. He was very quick to jump on board the Rocky River Pirates band wagon. We had to drag him home kicking and screaming...literally...I am not kidding. Jeanne was a good sport even though it was pretty cold for a Texas Baby.

The Pumpkin Patch

Will, Jeanne and I went to the pumpkin patch this month. We had a really good time...even if it was a little bit hot! Only in Texas do you have to worry about staying hydrated and not getting sunburned while picking out your pumpkins. This was Jeanne's first trip to the patch. She was the most agreeable to the picture taking. Will was a little more difficult to convince.

Jeanne is 9 Months Old!

It is hard to believe that Jeanne is 9 months old. The year has gone by quickly. She is getting to be very active and wanting to play with all of her brother's toys. So far he is handling it pretty well. As you can see in the pictures her hair still stands straight up and she is a really happy baby! We are all having tons of fun...most of the time....

Trip to Austin!

We had tons of fun in Austin with Auntie Stacey, Keegan, and Cami! It was a really fun girls weekend until Brian crashed it after his guys weekend in Chicago. We went swimming, blew bubbles and of course tortured the kids and took pictures!

Back to School

Will is back to school for his second year of preschool! He is really excited to be back to school and had no qualms about saying goodbye to mommy and Jeanne. As to be expected his favorite part of school is recess and playing with his friends!
